You've blocked the road I need
to take but don't tell me an alternate route! Why can't you help me with
directions when traffic is rerouted due to an emergency?
According
to Blooming Grove Township laws, emergency personnel are not allowed to
detour traffic onto other roads or give directions. The only provision
is to direct traffic around the incident, if possible. The responsibility
of detouring traffic belongs to PennDOT. We feel this situation is unfortunate
for the public, and urge you to contact the Blooming Grove Township to
request that this be changed.
My insurance company needs information
to institute a homeowner's policy. How do I go about this process?
The
ISO rating for the community is presently at 6. This is the number insurance
companies base their pricing on. They will also need the location of your
home in respect to the closest fire hydrant and the fire station.
Is there an Advanced Life Support
(ALS) Unit in operation in our area?
Yes. While we have had a working relationship
with Honesdale Ambulance for ALS service for years, Pike County ALS is now
automatically dispatched to our EMS calls through the 911 system. Also, the Hemlock Farms Community Association has contracted with Regional EMS to provide ALS service for within the community. We also
have the capability to call a medical helicopter (Medivac) to fly a patient
to a trauma center should the need arise.
I've heard there are different "levels"
of donations. What are they?
There are 5 different categories of giving, and
their minimum amounts are:
Sustaining Donor; $70+; This level of donation gives you the security
of knowing that you will not be directly billed for EMS or Fire/Rescue
services. However, we will try to recoup our costs from your insurance
company if available. You will also be listed in our Annual Report.
Friend;
$100+; A higher level with the same benefits as Sustaining Donor
Silver; $250+; You'll receive a wall plaque as well as the same benefits
as Sustaining Donor
Gold; $500+; You'll receive a wall plaque as well as the same benefits
as Sustaining Donor
Platinum; $1000+; You'll receive a wall plaque as well as the same
benefits as Sustaining Donor
Board; $2000+; Your name will be placed on our Honor Wall plaque
at the fire house, as well as the same benefits as Sustaining
Donor
Larger gifts will be recognized on an individual basis. You may also
want to consider us in your Will as a recipient or in a Living Trust
benefiting others.
Of course, any amount of donation, material, or time is needed and appreciated.
